Who Can Still Use a United GPU?
A couple of winners from the previous contest came back and couldn’t use their upgrades from Michael and now reader Joe has volunteered a couple of more. They expire and must be flown (not just booked) by 31 Jan. More importantly, they can only be used on a W fare or higher.

There are also some other ways to use them, like on Lufthansa, so refer to United’s webpage on upgrades if you have specific questions. So any takers out there? Reply with a comment to this post.

@Robin – Sorry G fare does not qualify for almost all international locations. From the UA Upgrade Page: For regions with a Yes*, Global Premier Upgrades are not available on flights booked in fare classes Z, P, S, T, K, L, G or N.

I’ve got a flight coming up next Wednesday, but for the life of me couldn’t find my fare class. Do you have any GPUs left?
Just as an FYI, 1Ks who have requalified for 2017 can call the MileagePlus Service Center and have up to 2 GPUs that expire 31 January extended to expire a couple of months later.
