Disney’s Armed Forces Salute FY13
Disney announced a renewal of their popular Armed Forces Salute Program that will run 1 OCT 12 through 28 SEP 13. This program gives a significant discount to all military members, including Guard, Reserve, retired, and spouses. Tickets are about 50% off and a discount of 30-40% is available on rooms at thier resorts. There is even a discount rate for Disney cruises. The details can be viewed at Chief Master Sergeant (Ret.) Steve Bell’s website http://www.militarydisneytips.com/. Note that the program has changed slightly, such as only allowing six tickets – not 12, and blackout dates. The Disney Cruise Line
The Disney Cruise Line continues to offer Military discounts. Military Discounted Cruise Rates are usually announced 30-60 days out. Then when a military rate is announced for that particular sailing they will apply that rate to your reservations. They usually set aside fifty staterooms of all categories for the military rates (except for suites and the lowest categories).
FYI – it’s http://www.militarydisneytips.com (for those who want to visit). Just wanted to drop a note since it got switched!

My husband us retired fro USPHS one of the uniformed services. He was paid on the military scale, we have military DOD ID cards, etc. Do you know if these rates apply to us?
Thanks, Jim. Fixed it.
Jane, here are the details on eligibility:
“Eligible Service Members” are active or retired members of the U.S. military, including the National Guard, Reserve and the U.S. Coast Guard.
Permanently Disabled Veterans are also eligible for this offer. These military personnel will have a military ID with a DAVPRM status.
Spouses of eligible members are able to participate without the member being present.
Not eligible are: unaccompanied dependants (children), prior service members who did not retire, foreign military members, DoD civilians, and other service connecter disabled who are not DAVPRM.
If you have military ID cards, then it looks like you are good to go to me.
Does Disney cruise line ever offer military rate on July or is it only during non peak times?
@ Amanda – Here is the link specifically for Disney Cruise Line military discounts. http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/special-offers/military-rates/
They are not showing any for July at this point, but it is also possible that it is too early as they are not showing any for the fall “shoulder” season. However, it would not surprise me if the discount is meant to fill the boats in the off-season. Suggest you keep monitoring the link provided.
Howdy! I just would like to give you a big thumbs up for your excellent info you have got right here on this post. I am coming back to your site for more soon.
My ID say DB O4 can I get discount on the different Disney parks.
@Nilsa – Any official DoD issued card should be able to get the Disney discount.
